The Tesla Cybertruck is an all-electric, battery-powered, light commercial vehicle launched by Elon Musk’s Tesla.. Three models have been announced, with EPA range estimates of up to 500 miles and an estimated 0–60 mph time of 2.9 seconds, (depending on the model). The design really works for some and for others not at all which makes it even better for marketing and headline purposes.
Recently there has been a post from Instagram’s:
“We definitely don’t recommend this, but Model S floats well enough to turn it into a boat for short periods of time. Thrust via wheel rotation.”
Whatever happens when we finally get our hands on one (i have reserved one) it’ll be great to drive this around a sleepy Dorset village and scare all the locals. At under $50k it is a lot of car for the money and will certainly keep Ford and Nissan on its toes. In the USA they sell over 3 million pickup trucks per year and industry experts think it can be produced at 1/7 of the cost of an F150. At 10% of market share that could be $15bn in new revenue for Tesla. Very nice.
